“ I can’t tell you how amazed I have been with the success Emma has had with my dog, Mac. Mac has ‘fear anxiety’ so a trip to the vet was very stressful for him (and me!). At first even being in the consultation room would fill him with terror let alone anyone trying to touch him. Over the past two years Emma has given me her advice on what approach to take during our sessions and has also been very willing to listen to my thoughts on what would help Mac. If he got too stressed we would stop the consultation and if I felt he could be challenged a bit more she would introduce him to someone or something new. I have never felt worried about what Mac was going through during our time together and it was always at the pace he and I were comfortable with. With Emma’s expert advice, calm approach and patience Mac now wags his tail when he goes to see Emma and pretty much puts up with anything. I am so relieved that an already stressful situation is made so much easier thanks to Emma.”

“ This is our Bearded Collie Hamish. Bearded Collies are very sensitive souls. Hamish is friendly to a fault and is friends with all the dogs and regular dog walkers at Dunbar beach. However he developed Addison’s Disease just into lockdown. This requires him to have a steroid injection every 25 days. This started well with him bouncing into the vets but Collies are highly intelligent and he soon realised that there was a needle involved with every visit . He became very stressed and required a muzzle . This was when Emma came to help with him. After some discussion about Hamish he now goes in with his companion Henri our Springer Spaniel has a butterfly needle and is distracted with food. I can’t thank Emma enough for her help as Hamish is now much more relaxed and can cope with his visits to the vets.”

“ I recently rescued a cat who, due to complications, had to get her front limb removed. I already had two dogs in my home both of which were used to cats but we had sadly lost our cat a year past. Both of my dogs are also rescue with some issues with nervousness. I was very stressed about introducing a new animal into the home and unsettling the balance and causing any further issues with my dogs. I spoke in depth with Emma who was very reassuring and helpful. Emma gave me some very helpful printed out information to read through about how to introduce my new 3 legged friend to my other two 4 legged friends and also had a very in depth thorough conversation where she outlined things step by step for me giving me loads of helpful hints and tips. Emma explained just to do the process very slowly, to let Dusty settle and recover from her operation and begin the introduction very gently. Emma told me first off just to let the dogs sniff a blanket Dusty had been on and vice versa and give lots of praise during. I went to Emma several times for advice and each time she was absolutely amazing, Emma made me feel very comfortable and confident with the introduction and helped me each step of the way. Dusty now plays and has her dinner and runs around freely in the house with her two canine sisters. There are no issues between any of them at all and they all get on great. I cannot thank Emma enough for giving me so much professional advice and making this process really easy and removing my own stresses regarding it by being so confident and reassuring. Emma's advice has been second to none and I would highly recommend her expertise to anyone with any similar situations or any pet behavioural issues, Emma has helped me greatly and is not only amazing and professional in what she does but is also a lovely caring person with other peoples and their animals best interests at heart..”

“This is Nala our Patterdale Terrier. Emma has been working to help Nala over the last year with her anxiety when visitors come to our house. Nala was a lockdown puppy and when restrictions were lifted she was worried by strangers in the house reacting by growling, barking and lunging meaning having family and friends round was stressful for Nala and ourselves! Thanks to Emma's training plan there has been a huge improvement. Emma has been in regular contact and nothing has been too much trouble. She was happy to make a follow up visit and adapted Nala's plan when needed . We know we can get in touch whenever we need a bit of advice and it's brilliant to be able to enjoy having visitors again. I can't thank Emma enough, particularly because she just sees Nala as the lovely dog she is and never labelled her as other people I have sought advice from have done.”
